Our Shabbat Meal Delivery program provides two kosher meals each month to community members who are part of our Older Adult Services, Supportive Living Services, and Community Stabilization Services programs.
Volunteers are needed to pick up and deliver these meals to homes on a designated route. We ask that you make sure you can commit to all delivery dates below before signing up. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!
Commitment:
- Deliver to households pre-assigned to you. Assignments will be based on your preferred neighborhood whenever possible.

- 2025: June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, August 8, August 22, September 5, September 19, October 10, October 24, November 7, November 21, December 5, December 12
Responsibilities:
- Pick up the meals from UW Hillel (4745 17th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105) at the designated dates and times.
- Call the households to let them know you are on your way to drop off their meals.
- Complete the meal deliveries using up-to-date health and safety standards.
- Let Volunteer Coordinator know if you are not feeling well or have COVID-like symptoms so we can find a substitute for your route.
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- A personal vehicle is required for this position.
- Current Washington State driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Successful completion of volunteer application process.
