About 1,300 households visit the Polack Food Bank each month. The Food Bank operates a consumer-choice model where guests choose products according to their personal needs and preferences. Our goal is to provide people the food and toiletries they need with the dignity they deserve. This position supports our pop-up Food Bank delivery program in the Bellevue Crossroads neighborhood.
Shifts:
- The second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m.
- Unity of Bellevue (down the street from the Jewish Day School) -- 16330 NE 4th St, Bellevue, WA 98008
Responsibilities:
- Driving to the Unity of Bellevue Church to pick up groceries.
- Delivering groceries to JFS clients.
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Access to a vehicle and driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Work cooperatively with JFS staff and volunteers.
- Culturally sensitive, respectful to clients and the mission of JFS.
- Successful completion of application process, including background and reference checks.
Recommended:
- Russian-speaking volunteers a plus (many delivery recipients are Russian-speaking)!
