Our partners at the Chinese Information and Service Center have put together an excellent training on cultural considerations for food bank volunteers in our region. The training will be focused on cultural awareness and scarcity mindset, and led by Hueiling Chan, CISC's Program Director & Case Management Clinical Director with decades of experience—
We're very excited for the opportunity to bring this training to our volunteers! The content discussed will be highly relevant to our work serving the diverse communities that visit the Polack Food Bank. Please join us at JFS on Monday, July 27 from 12:00pm - 1:30pm for this workshop, Q&A, and light snacks!
In-person attendance is strongly encouraged, but the session will be recorded for those who can't make it. **Participating in this training, either in-person or by viewing the recording, will be mandatory for all Polack Food Bank volunteers.
